''The 2023 growing season began with an air of déjà vu. Much like 2022, the start of summer brought above-average rainfall in both November and December, once again challenging the critical flowering and fruit set stage of berry development. Cold, wet, and windy conditions are never ideal for flowering, often resulting in bunches with fewer berries and uneven development. Thankfully, while the conditions weren’t perfect, they weren’t as extreme as those we endured in 2022. As a result, we were able to produce a little more wine in 2023, though yields remained well below the 20-year average.''
